Individual Project
Apr. 2022 - Jun. 2022
Overview
This toggle clamp was my first major full 3D model, marking the beginning of my journey into the modeling and design industry. I created this project using Onshape, which allowed me to dive into the world of 3D CAD modeling and learn the fundamental principles of design. Throughout the process, I learned how to effectively use assembly constraints to manage the relationships and motions between different parts of the model. This project not only helped me grasp the core functionalities of the software but also provided valuable experience in constraint-based motion, ensuring that each component moved as intended. The toggle clamp design, while simple, served as a critical stepping stone in developing my skills, which I now apply in more complex designs.
Key Features
Motion Constraints: Created a fully functional 3D toggle clamp model in Onshape, applying assembly constraints to simulate real-world motion and laying the foundation for advanced CAD design skills.
